Rotary Peace Pole, 8 feet tall pole, originated in Japan in 1955 is a symbol of commitment to community, understanding, and “Service Above Self”. Each of the 250,000 Peace Poles in 180 countries display “May Peace Prevail on Earthâ. One such pole was unveiled today at at Vidya Valley School, Kharar. Secretary Rtn K S Dhody briefly explained the significance & background of Rotary Peace poles and its relevance, especially in a scenario of frequent community unrests. Director Simmer Singh, Principal Suman Lata, President Rtn Aameep Sinha, Rtn Manpreet Kaur, Rtn Gurdeep Arora & club Secretary Rtn. KS Dhody joined the occasion along with the staff and the members of Interact Club.
