Club honors 41 teachers with Nation Builders Award  

Rotary Club of Mohali Midtown organized the Nation Builders Award on Sept 9’2023 at St. Soldier International Convent School, Phase VII SAS Nagar. A total of 41 teachers from the Tricity were awarded in the gracious presence of Chief Guest Dr. Ginni Duggal, District Education Officer, SAS Nagar; Assistant Governor Rtn. Sukhvir Singh Sidhu and the host school Principal Ms. Anjali Sharma.  The function began with a welcome song by the students of the St. Soldier International Convent School. Students from class VI to X performed Saraswati Vandana and in her welcome address Interact President Hunar Bhardwaj highlighted the importance of the TEACH program of Rotary India Literacy Mission.  President Rtn. Amarjit Singh Virk in his address expressed that no achievement is possible without the guidance and involvement of the Teachers.

Chief Guest Dr. Ginni Duggal while handing over the certificate to the teachers highlighted their achievements; and that speaks volumes of her connect with the teachers of her department. In her address, the Chief Guest highlighted that the teachers have been doing exceptional job. They are not only providing education but also inculcating values that will go a long way in shaping the generation.  The two masters of ceremony Interactor Maettri Sood from class XII and Interactor Kunal Sood from class  XI were meticulous in their oration and relaxed disposition. The function concluded with “Guru Vandana” a classical dance performance from Interactor Lavisha of class XII-E. Club Secretary Rtn. Manjit Kaur made a special mention of the school, that despite being a second Saturday the school went all out to host the event.
